Studying abroad in Tanzania
Students who attended last week’s study abroad fair got valuable information about different programs and grants to help make travel dreams become a reality.
One of the newest study abroad programs is in Tanzania, Africa in a little village outside of Arusha. Jason Oh, who participated last summer, got to see what life was like living among the villagers.
“My favorite part about this trip in Tanzania in Nkwamwasi was being integrated with the community,” Oh says. “We were integrated with the schools and the homes of all the villagers. The best part about this was creating this garden with all of the school children.”
Fresno State students interacted with the children in the village through songs, dance, and games. Fresno State students taught the children some English pronouns and verbs.
