Fresno State’s Bulldog Shuttle making student life easier one ride at a time
Looking for parking spots, paying parking permits, and paying for gas are all issues Fresno State students face.
With the addition of the Bulldog Shuttle, students now have the opportunity to climb aboard, flash their IDs and get a ride for free anywhere around campus.
The shuttle makes getting around campus safer and faster, especially for students who don’t have their own transportation. Student athlete Kyndol Craver would have a tough time getting around without it.
“So I started riding the shuttle because I didn’t have a car coming back this school year, and it was very convenient to get to school instead of having to walk,” Kraver says.
Kimberley Efonye runs on the Fresno State track team and does not have a car.
“For me being an international student, the shuttle has made my life way easier,” Efonye says. “I live right at Palazzo, and it makes my life convenient because it drops me off right at school and at the athlete building. For not having a car, it’s great. Even if I had a car, I would save money on gas.”
Shuttle driver Jesse Valles says he enjoys his job, and he takes pride in knowing students are much safer when they take the bus.
“I wake up in the morning with a smile on my face, knowing that it’s not hard working labor. I could take the students to school and back home safe, make sure they get a good quality education,” said Valles.
The shuttle is available for students Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and stops at Bulldog Lane & Millbrook Avenue, Millbrook & Barstow Avenues, The Student Athlete Village, Campus Drive at North Gym, the Save Mart Center parking lot, and Campus Pointe in front of Palazzo.
