Grandpa’s Popcorn Gets New Owner
A warm welcome that will make your smile pop. That is what you can expect when you walk into Grandpa’s Popcorn and Sweets. Founder Fred “Grandpa” Campbell says he always has had a passion for Popcorn and wanted to share it with the community.
“I had always wanted to get into the popcorn business because it was so much fun,” Campbell said. “But I was never able to until my Grandson came to me and said, ‘Grandpa I want to be in the business like all the rest of the family is.’”
Grandpa started working with his Grandson, Daniel Campbell. Daniel worked hard, and he has now become the new owner of Grandpa’s Popcorn and Sweets.
They produce hundreds of bags of popcorn each day. Daniel’s wife Cassie Campbell is ecstatic that they provide something that no other store has to offer.
“You can’t get sweets especially in the valley that are not contaminated with peanuts and tree nuts. So to have parents come in here and see that their kids can get anything in the store, I think that’s probably my favorite part,” Cassie said.
And new owner Daniel understands that being peanut and tree-nut free is beneficial.
“We get it all the time when parents come in you know finally a place where my kids can eat whatever they want and I know that they’re safe,” Daniel said.
Grandpa’s Popcorn and Sweets has over 60 different flavors of popcorn and offers others sweets such as cupcakes and chocolate covered pretzels.
