EDUCATING STUDENT VOTERS
Prior to the 2018 midterm election, volunteers on campus displayed informational material to help students understand the initiatives and candidates so they could get out and vote. Most students we talked with said they voted, but one student said she felt really uninformed. She thought an uninformed vote was worse than no vote.
Most said it was important for students to vote because they’re the next generation; therefore they help make decisions that impact themselves and the future.
The volunteers handed out snacks such as pizza, water, and chips to encourage the student population to turn in their ballots and get educated.
