SHREDFEST

Do you have a lot of documents that need to be thrown out?

There’s a way you can dispose of important papers safely for free.

   It’s called ‘shredfest.’

“This is a document shredding event that I decided was important for the citizens of Clovis and Fresno county for that matter but particularly here in Clovis, because I investigate Identity theft and I know the importance of shredding documents” said Drew Mosher a Detective at Clovis Police Department.

This event is dedicated to help shred important documents like tax information and bank statements that could lead to identity theft.

“Pay attention when you go to the ATM or to a gas pump and tugging on the card reader before you put your card in. If something doesn’t seem right or look right then don’t use your card” suggested Brandon Waters, President of Fresno Advanced Security and Transport.

These quarterly events expect to shred about 70 thousand pounds of documents.

“ We have people who call us that report identity theft, we have people that bought something from an online retailer and didn’t get there a product on their service,” said Cindy Dudley from Better Business Bureau.

If this has you thinking about all the papers you need to get rid of safely, the next Shredfest is May 4th at Clovis rodeo grounds.
