ART AT THE CHILDREN’S STORYBOOK AND MUSEUM
At the Children’s Storybook and Museum in downtown Hanford, you can find a lot of fun activities for kids, such as gardens, playhouses, and art activities.
Katy is the resident artist and teaches kids how to paint. Each week, Katy and assistant director Brittney come up with creative themes for the kids.
“It is Van Gogh’s birthday, so we have a Van Gogh impersonator as just like a special event, he was here this morning answering questions and reading stories to the kids and now we are doing art with Katy which we do every Saturday,” Brittney said.
Every Saturday has a different theme. Kids from any age are welcome to come along with their parents to paint.
“This afternoon we do an art lesson with kids from any age from five to twelve usually, but we just want to have a time where kids can come out and can of get expose to art,” Katy said.
