ALLERGIES NO MORE
For some people, allergies are a problem all spring long. Fresno State invested in a garden that helps with avoid allergic reactions so people can enjoy nature without the harsh allergic reactions.
The garden is open to students and the public.
Micheal Trulio, a student on the Fresno State campus says he purposely parks in the lot behind the garden because he can enjoy is without allergy concerns.
“If I get grass clippings, hay or pollen in my nose I’ll sneeze like a machine gun,” said Trulio.
Beautiful flowers and the peaceful serenity, but that’s not all the garden has to offer.
Micheal Veliscu, a student at University High says he enjoys the outdoor scenery the garden has to offer, but also enjoys lunch time there.
“So I come over here to eat lunch pretty often, because I just like the scenery and all the greenery, and its just nice to have such a green garden to have on school,” said Veliscu.
People love moments in the garden for a lunch getaway, or a quiet place to read, or chill out until the next class begins.
Chole Cantu, a student on the Fresno State campus says she loves being outside but her allergies sometimes get the best of her.
“I do have allergy’s actually and I enjoy coming to the Allergy Free Garden because I don’t get allergic reactions and the weather is always nice and its always quiet and just a good place to hang out,” said Cantu.
With over 300 different kinds of plants, it seems even the campus squirrels can’t get enough of the garden treats.
The Allergy Free Garden is located behind the Joyal building parking lot with a big sign in brown.
