ALL IN THE FAMILY FOOD TRUCK
You might see a bright teal taco truck around Fresno at events like Art Hop or right outside a coffee shop in downtown Fresno. This is the Taste Kitchen food truck, family owned and operated for four years.
The owners will tell you, it’s not easy starting a business from scratch.
“It been a lot of ups and downs with the restaurant business. It’s always a risk starting off. You don’t know how it’s going to go. We’ve been blessed and thankful things have been going good for us,” said Martin Franco, owner of Taste Kitchen.
He also teaches family values and what it means to work hard running a business.
“It’s been challenging, but it has shown our kids through hard work you can accomplish your goals and your dreams,” said Franco.
While Martin runs the food truck, his cousin Jaime Rosas helps to run the restaurant. But make no mistake, sometimes working with family members can be challenging.
“No matter how rough the day is, it’s the restaurant business. When someone gets mad at each other ‘oh you spilled something or you took out order wrong,’ it’s nothing personal. At the end of the day, we’ll always be family,” said Rosas.
Taste Kitchen Food truck will be at CArtHop every Thursday in Downtown Fresno.
