BRINGING FLAVOR TO DOWNTOWN FRESNO

The mix of food aromas and the laughter of the community sets the scene for CArtHop, one of Downtown Fresno’s biggest food truck events.

Held year ’round, rain or shine, the weekly event brings together many local food trucks and the community. “It’s an activation event so Downtown Fresno Partnership works on the effort of revitalization. We’re trying to make Downtown Fresno an active place to be and more family friendly,” said Tatevik Hovhannisyan, Downtown Fresno Partnership Coordinator.

People enjoy delicious food and live entertainment from local musicians and DJs.

For people like Brandon Baines, the convenience of the event brings them out every week. “This has been a fantastic event because before it started we had to travel long far journeys just get lunch and basically waste our whole lunch during travel time.”

For others, CArt Hop offers the opportunity to support local businesses. “Every Thursday, we set up a side time to come out here and eat at the trucks and support the businesses. It’s awesome because they’ve got awesome food,” said William Jackson, a weekly attendee.
