BREWING AT ZONE 9

Meet Dave, Richard, Brad, and Sean.

These four friends run a brewing company in Clovis called “Zone 9.” The agricultural area grows many ingredients for their beer, such as kale, parsley, and pumpkin.

Brad and Sean originally started the company together as “Two Dudes Brewing.” “Two Dudes Brewing started probably 10 years ago,” said Brad.

These guys enjoy what they do and who they do it with. “I think it’s just being able to make something that people really enjoy,” said Sean.

Not only are they brewing their own beers, but naming them. The names have special meaning. In one case, they named a beer in honor of Brad’s late stepfather.

“His last name is McFarland. His nickname is ‘The Mac.’ He flew a B-17 bomber over Germany in World War II, so we had great lineage and we named the beer after him,” said Dave.
