BIG GRIZZLY FEST WEEKEND

The Grizzly Fest music festival is back and people attending the event at Woodward Park this weekend will see a lot of new changes this year.

Ticket holders will now be able to achieve peace of mind before the festival begins with free Saturday morning yoga. After yoga, attendees can quench their thirst at new water stations around the festival area.

“We’ve added water stations this year, so good and clean water for everybody, which is really important to us,” said organizer Evan Nebeker.

Also make sure to come ready to eat because there are a lot of options.

“We have a brunch both days from eleven till two and we’ve added from food trucks to restaurants, so we will have some of the top chefs in the valley doing some cooking,” said Nebeker.

Nebeker has been a part of the team since the festival’s first year. Last year, parking was a concern for many. This year? “You can park on site at the park. We have 2,800 stalls there. We didn’t sell out all those stalls last year; they will be available this year. Also we are really encouraging people to take advantage of ride share and sharing ride opportunities,” said Nebeker.

The music lineup ranges from rock to reggae to hip-hop. People will hear from artists from right here in the Valley to artists as a big as G-Easy.

“I’m exited to hear some good music, eat good food, and just be around good vibes,” said Fresno State student Evette Navarro.

Gates open at 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday and will close at 10 p.m. due to noise restrictions from the neighborhood.

Nearly 20,000 people attended last year and this year is billed to be just as memorable.
