FRESNO STATE’S ULTIMATE FRISBEE TEAM
After summer break, Fresno State’s Ultimate Frisbee Team is ready to get on the field and practice.
This intramural team calls themselves the “Rabids” and have played universities like Stanford, UCLA, and Cal State Berkeley.
Senior Anthony Perez is the team president. He has been playing since high school.
“When I first started I didn’t know how to throw a frisbee to save my life. Now, I could throw it pretty far, pretty accurate, and it so crazy to think about how I started to how I am now,” said Perez.
This sport isn’t just for men. Women are also encouraged to get out on the field and play.
“It’s not really like a contact sport so there’s nothing to really worry about in that sense. You really just come out and have fun,” said player Haley Perkins. Perkins is one of only two women playing for the Rabids.
The Rabids practice every Monday and Thursday from 7 p.m to 9 p.m.
