Hope Sanger
Hope Sanger is a small motel, with a big heart. A shelter that provides help for people who are having an economic crisis.
Their mission is to provide meals, clothing, and other assistance.
“We transformed it in a temporary shelter that server homeless families and some homeless individuals in the sanger community,” said Julie Mendoza, co-director.
People who are going through a hard time in their lives can go to Hope Sanger and ask for help.
“We offer pantry with dry goods. We offer meals Monday through Thursdays and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. As long the supplies last, people can take a lunch,” Mendoza said.
In the mornings, there’s coffee and something to eat. Their goal is to assist those who are hungry and in need.
“It helps a lot because sometimes you don’t have money to buy nothing and if you come here you get to eat something in your whole day,” said Siomara Mendoza, who is homeless.
Hope Sanger has 16 motel units where people can stay until they find something better.
“I live here at the Hope Sanger motel,” Alvaro Maldonado said. “I’m here to say I’m thankful and blessed that they give me the chance to live here. I have been here since April this is a good organization for families that lost their house. I’m really thankful that they’re here to help me and my family.”
