Indoor playground closes because of COVID-19
Every Tuesday, Samantha Fernandez takes her 2-year-old daughter out for a playdate.
“She loves coming here because she loves to run free and play with other kids. It is their only time to socialize with little ones, and it’s very safe and clean,” Fernandez says.
She appreciates that she has a place to take her daughter on days when unhealthy air quality forces kid to stay inside.
“The whole purpose of this place was that when kids can’t be outside they can be active inside,” says Mona Sandhu, owner of M&M Indoor Playground. “That’s why we made this whole place looking like it’s outdoors with trees and clouds so they can feel like they’re outdoors even though they are playing inside.”
The playground is for children seven and under. There is a soft area for the babies, and the older kids have their own section. Sadhu says safety is her top priority. She makes sure all of the surfaces are clean, and she says they deep clean the entire playground at the end of the day. Â
The indoor playground opened to the public in February. They had to close in March because of the pandemic restrictions. They’re looking forward to reopening as soon as it’s safe to go back inside.
