Fresno State Football is Back
The Mountain West Board of Directors decided that the fall season will open later this month.
Bulldog fans can put their face paint back on as the Pride of the Valley take the field for their season opener on October 24th!
This news comes months after the fall season was delayed indefinitely before it even started because of the pandemic.
Fresno State’s Director of Athletics Terry Tumey said the decision to delay games was for the athletes’ safety.
“I think we made the right decision at the time, as tough as it was to tell our student-athletes that they couldn’t do something that they truly loved to do here with us at that point in time, it was all for the right reason which was their safety and protection,” stated Director Tumey.
Football players will continue Fresno State’s tradition of Being Bold as they get back on the field.
But, will fans get to go back in the stands?
We won’t know until we get closer to the season opener.
One thing is sure, Fresno State has its football team back!
