By mail, in person, or by drop box: voting in 2020
For the November 2020 election, voters had options for their voting method: by mail, in person at a polling station, or through a drop box. It all came down to personal preference.
The COVID-19 pandemic introduced some safety concerns over voting in person. Contact with others can increase the risk of getting sick. Both Daniel and Davide voted by mail.
“For me I decided to mail it because it’s a less interaction with people and a less chance of getting sick,” said Daniel, a local resident.

“I ended up coming with my girl friend to register, but me personally I voted through mail and think it’s the best way,” said David.
Others dropped their ballots in boxes around the Central Valley or decided to vote in person on Election Day.
