LGBTQ+ community celebrates Biden win

On November 7, 2020, the LGBTQ+ community celebrated as Joe Biden was announced as the U.S. President-elect.

Biden supports the LGBTQ+ community and vows to pass the Equality Act to protect U.S. citizens from discrimination based on sexual and gender identity.

Sean Gallagos is a Biden supporter who phone banked to try to urge voters to support Biden. He was concerned about equality issues with President Trump.

“I think it’s just sliding backwards sadly. Not that it can’t be fixed but if Trump gets elected, it’s another four years,” Gallagos stated.

Gallagos stated that he thought Biden would bring “decency back to the United States.”
