COVID-19 Testing at Fresno State

COVID-19 testing is one of the safest and easiest ways to stop the spread of the virus. Some people haven’t gotten tested since the pandemic started, while others are getting tested every month or even every week.

For Fresno State swimmer Caitlin O’Neill, the testing is part of her regular schedule. While some people are terrified of the procedure, O’Neill says it is not as scary as it seems.

“The testing experience is very easy, the people here make it so that you can come in really quick, sign in, everything is set up for you and you get that test and you are out. It is very quick, it is efficient, and I think it is super important that we do it here,” said O’Neill.

Medical personnel says that the testing helps us better understand COVID-19.

“It is very important because it helps stop the spread and it also helps with the statistics as well,” said Prisilla Pacheco, a Valley Children’s Hospital employee.

If you have an in-person class and you want to get tested, check your email for more information. Students and staff regularly receive emails about the testing schedule.
