How people stayed active and fit during the pandemic

During the pandemic, many gyms closed due to lockdowns. This forced many people outside and to start at-home workouts. This fitness time helps not only the physical body, but also mental health, as people turn to fitness for personal time, clarity or stress relief.

Michelle Butler decided to get fit and healthy at the start of the pandemic in March 2020. She wanted to boost her immune system, too. She bought something she’s always wanted: a Peloton Bike.

She began to use that bike as well as using Peloton’s strength training classes and their meditation and yoga classes too, for her mental-well being. “I absolutely love it! Peloton is a great motivational and fun company, I’ve lost over 40 pounds and all of my levels are doing great the doctor said,” said Butler.

While Butler’s new routine didn’t prevent her from catching the coronavirus, she still follows her new healthier lifestyle. Her comeback was not easy, but she came back even stronger than before. She has developed a lifestyle due to the pandemic, and a great one that is as it will always benefit her health and well-being.

Tommy Slatic, a worker at Save Mart, also decided to get in shape during the pandemic. In his free time, Slatic goes on runs throughout his neighborhood as well as hits a family friend’s gym. “I just really wanted to focus on myself and work on myself for a mental well being. When the pandemic first started work was so hectic and I find working out to be really therapeutic as well as beneficial to my overall health. There’s nothing but pros to it,” said Slatic.
