Earth Day 2021 Preparations

Fresno State’s Sustainability Club and Fresno’s Earth Day organization have teamed up to host this years Earth Day.

The event is virtual this year as large gatherings are not allowed due to COVID. There will be afree livestream and webinar.

Marissa Acosta is a student at Fresno State and the Sustainability Club advisor. “The club definitely tries to make sure that we are as inclusive as possible, making sure that sustainability just isn’t about the environment, it’s about social issues as well. It’s about economic issues as well, and so, trying to encompass all of that, in our Earth Day is was pretty important to us,” said Acosta.

Over 12 local organization are presenting to educate people about the environment.

Prior the COVID, the event would have booths, food vendor and live music.

Earth Day is April 22nd, and to take part this year you can visit the Earth Day Fresno website to register for the webinar and to learn additional information about the event.
