Incoming freshmen share excitement for Fall 2021

College decision day is right around the corner and thousands of incoming freshmen and transfer students applied to be a bulldog this fall.

Evelyn Guzman is an incoming freshman from Porterville. “I have visited a few times in high school. I’ve been to baseball games, football games, so it was fun. I felt like I belong there type of thing,” said Guzman.

Attending Fresno State is a tradition in the Guzman family. She is excited to attend Fresno State and will be pursuing a degree in Economics.

The pandemic has not hurt Fresno State’s enrollment, which reached a record high nearly 25,000 students for the 2020-2021 academic year. Other CSU schools reported a decline in enrollment.

Incoming students must make their college decisions by May 1.
