Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Today is Cinco de Mayo, a day that is widely celebrated in the United States.

The day signifies Mexico’s victory in the Battle of Puebla with France in 1872. It is less of a celebration in Mexico than in the U.S., where it is a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage.

And it is NOT Mexican Independence Day from Spain. That is Sept. 16.
