Student Plans for Summer 2021

Students have an eventful summer planned this year since last year was affected by COVID-19.

Travel restrictions are lifting and many students have already received their vaccines. This means traveling for summer 2021.

Fresno State senior Robert Ortega Junior plans to visit Disney World after graduation. “This summer I’m trying to leave the heat of the valley for the heat of Florida, leave the pool for the ocean,” said Ortega.

Tonya Guryeva hasn’t seen her parents for over a year. She is from Moscow, Russia and due to travel restrictions she has not been able to go back home. “This summer I would really like to go back home to see my family because I haven’t seen them in a while,” said Guryeva. She has only been able to contact her family through Zoom, Skype or Facetime.
