Cherry Auction Car Swap Meet Ran By Fresno State MCJ Student
A Fresno State MCJ student is helping the family business that she hopes to one day take over. Jessica Burson is a public relations student at Fresno State and works at the Cherry Auction.
The auction has been in her family for over 50 years. It recently hosted an auto swap meet where people showcased their classic cars. Burson says she enjoys seeing people come out and do what they love.
“That’s really what means a lot to me because so many people come out here and this is their livelihood, this is what they depend on,” Burson says. “I love that I get to see that and help them out with that and be a part of something that really helps people out.
Burson hopes to use her public relations studies and apply them to her family business. The Cherry Auction takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at the Cherry Auction yard located at 4640 S Cherry Ave in Fresno.
