New Fresno State Softball Coach
Stacy May-Johnson has been named the fifth head coach in Fresno State softball history. Before she made her way to the 559, she was the head coach at Utah Valley University.
May-Johnson’s plans for her team are simple.
“They’re asked to have each other’s back,” May-Johnson says. “I don’t know that that is anything new. That is probably something that is already here but that is something that we are going to have to work at daily because at the end of the day each one of us has to be willing to put the team before ourselves.”
In 2011, she won the World Cup Championship for Team USA and was the USA Softball Female Athlete of the Year. May-Johnson also added nine new players for the 2022 season including six transfers and three freshmen.
