A New Rule Defends DACA
DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, is still facing many threats.
The Biden administration has placed a rule to protect DACA from legal challenges. The rule gives the public 60 days to submit comments for or against the program.
It is a step to shield the program, but this rule does not make it permanent.
“As a DACA recipient, I acknowledge my privilege,” Jacqueline Campos said. “I acknowledge the opportunities that grasp me. DACA is an important program because it does allow all these opportunities but unfortunately, it’s not enough. I do think that we need more of a permanent solution.”
