Covid Vaccine Appointments through Phone Calls
The Education and Leadership Foundation in Fresno is helping our communities have access to COVID vaccines through phone calls.
The workday starts with a team Zoom meeting. Then, working from home, they pick up the phone.
Helping people make vaccine appointments through the phone or computer can be challenging. But Claudia Torres, an ELF caller, says she feels happy when it happens.
“I like it because when I get them, I feel proud of me but it’s like not that much but at least 10, yes,” Torres says. “They are helpful. They are kind of like appreciative like we are going to go or because they are getting sick so they want to get it right away.”
If you haven’t received a phone call, you can register for an appointment at the myturn.ca.gov website.
