Fresno Fire Girls Empowerment Camp
A success for the Fresno Fire Department’s second annual girls empowerment camp.
Seventy girls from the community learned what it is like to be a firefighter.
Girls climbed the ground ladder and the aerial ladder on the truck.
Fresno Fire chief Kerri Donis came to watch the girls go through the paces
There were seven stations that girls took turns with, like pulling hoses and calling for water.
The goal is to have two camps a year and support young girls interested in a career in firefighting.
