Behind the Scenes of Focus on Sports

If you haven’t heard yet, Fresno State Focus has a new show.

Focus on Sports focuses on the headlines from Fresno State games, local athletes and regional big league teams.

The staff is run by some of the Fresno State Focus student journalists who also work on the main newscast.

Even though extra work was needed to create the show, the students were ready for the challenge. Producer Marc Anthony Lopez said the road to get here was worth the effort.

“Sure the work is a lot more demanding,” Lopez said. “But in the end, it is for the betterment of people who actually really do want to go out and put out a sports reel for news stations or wherever they really want to go forward in life.”

Focus on Sports runs every Thursday at 9 a.m. on CMAC, the Fresno State Focus website and the Fresno State Focus TV YouTube page.
