Going Vintage

The Vintage industry is a growing business that has taken the world by storm.

Here in the central valley, an abundance of small businesses and business owners are helping people save money while pursuing a hobby that for many has become a career.

“Being able to see people happy and liking what we style them in, it’s fun, because we get to show them actual true vintage versus what you see in the magazine,” said Lupe Oftedal, owner of Bebe O’s Vintage.

With the demand for vintage clothing continuing to grow, there are now ways that everyone can profit from re-selling pieces that are used or thrifted.

“Sometimes I go to a vintage or a thrift store and they’ll be $3 and I look online and they’ll be $200,” said Noah Salazar, about hunting for unique vintage pieces.

The Tower District is one of the many areas in Fresno that provides multiple thrift and vintage shops.
