Project Keyword: Prom

Prom season is in full effect for high schoolers. This means booking hair appointments, makeup appointments, and of course, finding something to wear for the occasion. All this can make for an expensive time as well.

Project Keyword: Prom is an organization run by librarians and teachers to be able to give out dresses, suits and even accessories to those who need them.

“We just want to give everyone the opportunity to go to prom without that financial struggle,” said Brittany Nimon, a Fresno librarian.

If you know of any teens who are in need of prom wear, they can sign up on the Fresno County Library website for an appointment slot and register for a 30-minute fitting. If you are also someone who would like to donate, you can drop off your donations at the Betty Rodriguez Library.
