Classes in Danger of being Cancelled

For many students returning in the spring, classes are filling up quickly, but for others, not quickly enough.

Fresno State does not provide funding for courses with fewer than ten students, leaving several classes at risk of being canceled.

Many of these classes are requirements for certificates, and most of these classes are not offered every semester.

Rachel Brady, a sociology major, has already completed 12 of 15 units for her Human Resource Management certificate. Although she is almost finished, she expressed concern that she might not be able to receive the certificate.

“I’m supposed to graduate next semester,” Brady said. “So if my Human Resource class is canceled, I probably can’t get my certificate.”

Right now, Seminar in Human Resource Management and Meteorology are in danger of being canceled because of low enrollment. The deadline for course approval is Tuesday, December 13.

Dr. Ogunjemiyo, Meteorology Professor
