Fresno State Focus Grads

By: Holden Wheeler

The Fall semester is coming to a close. Which means for some students, this is the end of the road for them at Fresno State. Which is the case for students in Fresno State Focus. Who will be leaving Fresno State and moving onto the next chapters of their lives.

Taking time to remember all they’ve gained from Fresno State Focus and how they will use their experiences in life after graduation. Jhoselin Clark is one of the students doing just that.

“It taught me I don’t want to be an Anchor, and I love the producing part, so I can practice even more to help class mates to produce, it gives you a perspective of what you want to do once you graduate, because that’s the most important part.” Said Clark.

While giving students an idea of what they want to do is a huge part of the course, for others, it helped childhood dreams become achievable, for Brianda Lemus it was getting to be on camera.

“Coming in here I was nervous to find out what if I really don’t belong in front of the camera so I think finding my own persona on who I can be was something I was nervous about but taking this class has helped me in many different ways to get out of my comfort zone. And do stuff I didn’t think I’d be comfortable even doing.” Lemus said.

This course has a huge time commitment so students become extremely close with one another in their time together. Making relationships one of the most important things gained from taking Fresno State Focus, which was the case for Sydney Morgan.

“I’m definitely going to miss the people in Fresno State Focus, and the professors because you kind of build a family, but I am definitely excited for the future and the next steps.” Said Morgan.

The relationships and skills learned will not be forgotten by these students moving on, and you may see them on TV in your home, only time will tell.
