Fresno State Women’s Soccer Inspires 9 Year Old Twins and Their Coach
Lilah High plays soccer with RIPMC and says when she is older she would like to play for the Fresno State soccer team.
She says she goes out to watch the women’s soccer team so she can learn soccer tricks from them.
“I like the goalie. The goalie’s my favorite,” Lilah says.
The twins have been playing soccer together since they were two years old. Watching Fresno State teams play from the sidelines, they start to envision a future of their own.
Twin, Leia High, also says her dream is to play for the Fresno State soccer team when she is older.
“They’re really good, strong, fast, and they are just good communicators,” says Leia.
Head soccer coach Brian could not agree more. He says coaching has shaped his perspective.
“When I see that in my own kids whether they’re playing sports or dealing with school it helps me remind myself that our own players are in that same boat, so it creates some terrific empathy,” says Brian.
