Pumpkin decor comes to life
Fall pumpkin decorations with a succulent twist

A Fun Take on Fall Decor

Fall is here which means much of what we see, hear, and taste will involve something pumpkin-related. Pumpkins are always great fall decorations, but the pumpkins at Country Roots in Sanger have a different twist to them. They have succulents growing on top of them.

Brynn Provost of Country Roots starts by gluing moss down on top of the pumpkin, then planting the succulents into the moss for this creation to come to life.

“They absolutely love to be in this moss,” Provost says when asked how the succulents thrive atop the pumpkins.

These decorations also last longer than the fall season itself. They can last up to six months. Mini workshops are held three days a week at different times so people can make their fall festivity come to life.

“It’s been fun to have a little getaway on the weekend and get together and laugh and joke and see what everybody else is doing and come away with a really beautiful project,” said Christina Luna, a frequent customer.

With the plethora of pumpkins, but more importantly succulents, it can be challenging to pick which to choose, but Brynn says that’s just all part of the process.

“They’re a lot of fun to collect. I think that’s why people really get into it because there’s so many different shapes and sizes and colors, and you just want to collect them all,” says Provost.
