Fresno, Calif. (KFSR) – Lilly Dias, a freshman at Fresno State, is rocking the Kappa Kappa Gamma scene while also juggling roles in the Fresno State Radio Television Digitial News Association (RTDNA) and the Media, Communication and Journalism (MCJ) Social Media Team.

“It’s definitely a lot on my plate,” Dias said. “Holding a position in Kappa while still trying to maintain the title of RTDNA president and managing social media for the MCJ department, it’s just a lot on top of working to maintain finances and stay in shape.”

Dias highlighted the importance of communication in order for her to manage her commitments. “Being a part of all these things has taught me to communicate better with everybody, like my sorority sisters, my colleagues, my classmates, and even my family and friends, about my schedule and commitments,” she said.

Dias emphasized Kappa Kappa Gamma’s philanthropic pursuits in mental health advocacy with the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). She also discussed upcoming events and fundraisers to support NAMI with other fraternities on campus.

“The sorority has brought me a great community that I felt like I was lacking,” she said. “It’s just so great to be a part of this national organization, and it’s truly something special to be a part of.”

Dias exemplifies resilience and dedication as she continues to thrive amidst the challenges of the college lifestyle. She has made a positive impact by inspiring her peers and making a difference in her community.
