Fresno State Clothing Closet offers free professional attire for all Fresno State students

Finding professional clothing at an affordable price can be hard. This is especially true for college students.

Luckily, Fresno State offers a spot to shop where students can find everything they are looking for.

“Here at the Fresno State Clothing Closet we offer a place that holds professional clothing,” said Clothing Closet Director Audrey Munoz. “The best thing is it is completely free for all Fresno State Students.”

At the Clothing Closet, students may pick up three clothing items plus one accessory if they want. Accessories include ties, shoes, belts, and even jewelry.

The closet is huge, and it has all sizes, colors, and different styles of clothes.

All you need is your Fresno State Student ID, then head to the third floor of the USU building, and pick out your items. You get to keep the items you choose for as long as you want.

The closet also takes donations from anyone in the Fresno State community. You can schedule a drop-off appointment by emailing the Clothing Closet team.

If you are donating, bring the items you are dropping off to the Clothing Closet building, or if you have many items, you can bring them to Parking Lot P31.

Clothing Closet employee Daniella Alverez says they need more donations of smaller items and accessories.

“The smaller sizes and accessories usually fly off the shelf, so we are really in a big need for those two things right now. But no size will be turned down. We take everything we can get.”

The closet also just expanded its hours so the shop will be available longer to students who need clothes. Their new hours of operation are Monday Through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
