May the 4th

Fresno, Calif. (KFSR)—Even though it’s been five years since a Star Wars film was theatrically released, Star Wars fan’s spirits are as high as ever with May the Fourth coming up.
Although there have been no movies, Star Wars fans still have their fair share of content, thanks to popular Disney Plus shows like The Mandalorian and Andor. Star Wars has also taken a step into the world of animation as well with shows such as the recently finished Bad Batch series and the groundbreaking Clone Wars series.
One thing that has stayed the same in Star Wars’ 50-year history is the unique species that the galaxy has to offer. From Wookies like Chewbacca to Ewoks on the moon of Endor, there are an endless number of different species. Even the crime lord Jabba the Hutt is a fan favorite.
“Jabba the Hutt’s kind of my favorite,” said Star Wars fan Alexis Bruno.
“He’s kinda underrated. a lot of people don’t really like him. I like how Star Wars characters are always made with a distinct look. I feel like a lot of movies just use regular human characters and stuff like that. Star Wars characters have different features, and they mix things together. So that’s why I do like Jabba the Hutt a lot.”
Fans are sure to see more species this May 4th, as Star Wars released a short six-episode mini-series titled “Tales of the Empire.”
