CLOTHING CLOSET IS A VALUABLE RESOURCE FOR JOB-SEEKERS ON TIGHT BUDGETS
College students often struggle to afford the cost of business attire while attending school.
During a time when everything is more expensive, every possible resource is valuable, especially if students are unemployed and need to look their best for an interview with a potential new employer.
The Career Development Center is available to help students prepare for job interviews, and the Fresno State Clothing Closet team is on hand to assist them with selecting suitable attire.
“If you have an interview coming up or you’re interested in just kind of looking around, students are welcome to grab three free clothing items and three free accessories every semester,” said career mentor Harvir Sapraj.
The Clothing Closet receives new items every week from the general public, local businesses, and alumni. If you have gently-worn business items, the Clothing Closet would be happy to take them off your hands.

After students graduate, all of the Career Development Center’s resources remain available to them, except for the Clothing Closet.

“Hopefully, if students came to see us earlier in their academic career, they wouldn’t have to come see us as alumni,” said Career Development Center executive director Mary Willis.
No appointment is needed to visit the Clothing Closet. All students need to get their free clothing items is their Fresno State student ID.
