All that Scott Bemis does for sports in the Central Valley

Scott Bemis is the sports director for CBS 47 and KSEE 24. He also does the play-by-play for the Fresno City Rams. He has been doing both for the last five years.

Bemis loves all sports and says he is glad to have this job. What makes this job better is how he knows that others want it and he is lucky that he got it.

“I feel fortunate to be in this position where I do get to cover sports for a living and a lot of people would love the opportunity to do that,” Bemis said.

The station gives him a lot of different sports topics to use. Like how they started the Fresno City Rams Podcast that is recorded on Monday. He also gets to go to high school football games to talk about them.

He also gets to go to all the Rams games since he does the play-by-play, he will be with the Rams whether they are at Ratcliffe Stadium or if they are in a whole different city.

Now, for the past three years, Bemis has gotten a little more help with the games. Shannon Pulliam is a local high school football head coach.

One day they bumped into each other and Bemis asked Pulliam if he wanted to help out and he agreed. Now the two have been calling all the Fresno City games together for three years and Pulliam says that he enjoys his time with Bemis a lot.

“It’s traveling in the car to the away games I think we have a really good time,” Pulliam said. “The food we pick up to eat, the conversation we have, and listening to college football on the radio.”

Bemis plans to stick with the jobs he has as long as he can. To see some more of what Bemis does, go to the CBS 47 and KSEE 24 website and app.
