After storm damage, Fresno turns to app to fix roads faster
FRESNO, Calif. — The city of Fresno is fixing roads destroyed by storms through an app.
FresGO is the app that allows people to notify city workers about road issues.
Paige Gerber, a senior at Fresno State, shared her experience with driving on bad roads.
“There’s been a lot of cracks and potholes in the road, and I ran over a pothole once and I had to get my tire fixed because of how bad it injured it,” Gerber said.
Gerber reported the pothole she ran over to FresGO by taking a picture and submitting a request to get it fixed. She said the pothole was fixed a few days later.

Scott Mozier, the public works director for the city of Fresno, said that reporting an issue on FresGO is the best way for roads to get fixed.
“That is indeed the fastest way to get that dispatched out to our crews,” Mozier said. “Citizens can be the eyes and ears of the city, something that city employees are not aware of yet until it’s reported.”
Anyone can download the FresGO app for free on both iOS and Android devices.
