Nahre Sol shares creative process through music and digital media

FRESNO, Calif. — Nahre Sol is part of a new generation of musicians redefining how audiences experience classical music.

A pianist and composer with a strong presence online, Sol has built a global following by focusing not only on performance, but on the creative process behind her work. Through video, she invites viewers into the early stages of music making, where ideas are tested, reshaped and developed into full compositions.

“When time stops while I’m creating, I think that’s when I feel the most in the moment. When I’m not thinking about it, am I in the moment or not? ” Sol said.

That is when Sol is in her best flow state.  In her videos and performances, Sol often experiments with musical ideas in real time, giving audiences a deeper understanding of how music evolves.

“The practice of asking questions like, what if this went one way, or how would I do this, or how would it sound on a different instrument?” she said.

Her work spans multiple platforms, with YouTube serving as a central space where she shares her pieces and work.

By documenting her creative journey, Sol is helping make classical music more accessible to a broader audience, particularly younger viewers who may not engage with traditional concert settings.

After Sol visited students at California State University, Fresno, music professor Michael Krikorian said Sol’s approach reflects how the role of musicians continues to evolve.

“Students need to understand that a career in music can mean a lot of different things,” Krikorian said. “Music can take us on so many different paths.”

Sol’s work also extends beyond online video. As a composer, she has created music for film and video games, where sound plays a key role in shaping storytelling and emotion. Her ability to move between traditional composition and digital platforms highlights the growing range of opportunities available to musicians.

More information about her work can be found on her website.

In both her music and her videos, Sol encourages curiosity and experimentation, values that continue to resonate with her audience.

“Creating music to me is just being human, feeling the experience of being alive,” she said.
