Fresno, Calif. (KFSR) – Elle Martin has recently taken the lead on the Fresno States Men’s Basketball social media. She has been the woman behind the camera and captions for many recent posts.

Many students consider applying for on-campus internships with the intention of padding their resumes or as a secondary source of income but worry about the workload.

Balancing the roles of student, intern and athlete has not always been easy for Martin.

“I’d say the most challenging part about balancing all those things has been not placing my worth and my value in each of those things,” Martin said.

Despite Martin’s challenges and her grueling schedule, she looks forward to all opportunities that align with her future goals and encourages other students to do the same.

“It really boosted my confidence and enabled me to take that next step and do it boldly,” said Martin.

“I want to be a professional horse rider and horse trainer. I’m going to continue being an athlete, but part of this job is managing social media profiles and being in charge of marketing and getting new clients. Having this background will be a huge help with my plans going forward.”

Although basketball season is over, Martin will continue her internship and involvement with the equestrian team until her graduation this May.
